The Willie Mae Sales-Griffin Family Resource Center, Inc. (WMSG) is a non-profit organization that consulted with the Residential Child Care Licensing Unit about developing a child placing agency that focuses on partnering with our community to provide hope, resources, therapeutic services, support and residential child-care to children and their families ages 0-21 in the State of Georgia.


Priority placement will be given to children in a 16-county service area of Butts County, Clayton County, Cobb County, Coweta County, DeKalb County, Douglas County, Fayette County, Fulton County, Gwinnett County, Henry County, Bibb County, Spalding County, Newton County, Paulding County, Rockdale County, Spalding County, but are not limited to this geographic region.




As Child Placement Agency Providers, WMSG provides lodging, food, and attentive responsible care to children. As a Child Placing Agency, we ensure that all the children we serve have access to services to meet their physical, social, emotional, educational/vocational, nutritional, spiritual/cultural and permanency needs. WMSG recruits foster parents to provide safe, stable homes to children foster care.


Our foster parents are highly- trained and their homes are monitored several times per month to ensure that all children placed in our care well-being needs are met and have access to needed services as indicated in the R.B.W.O. standards of care and foster homes are approved and re-approved annually.


  • WMSG collaborates with medical doctors and dentists within each community that children are placed to ensure that their physical health needs are met according to licensing and contracting requirements.


  • WMSG provides specialty groups and case management services to ensure that all children and youth placed in our care have social experiences at their schools, daycares and in their communities to promote healthy social skills and interpersonal relationships.


  • WMSG collaborates with Medicaid Rehab Option Providers and other available resources in the community to ensure that all children and youth placed in our care have access to mental health services to ensure their emotional stability.


  • WMSG collaborates with school systems and utilizes case management and our foster parents to provide educational advocacy to ensure that all children and youth placed in our care have access to a quality education and that they are placed in the appropriate educational settings based on their behavioral and cognitive abilities and receive all necessary testing and services to promote age and grade level performance, skill development and conduct expectations in their various educational settings. WMSG collaborates with providers in the community to provide tutorial, educational and enrichment services to all school age children in our care.


  • WMSG ensures that all foster parents are provided with training and are educated on ways to ensure that all children and youth placed in their homes are provided with nutritious and healthy meals and snacks according to USDA guidelines that are inclusive of child’s religious, cultural, and health needs.


  • WMSG ensures that all foster parents are provided with training and are educated on ways to ensure that all children placed in their homes are aware, demonstrate sensitivity and cultural competence to understanding the child and family’s religious values, belief systems, customs, etc. and provide them with experiences to maintain their connections to their heritages and or beliefs, even if they differ from the personal/spiritual beliefs of the foster parent.​

  • WMSG ensures that permanency needs are met by collaborating with DFCS, adoptive families, birth families, fictive kin, the court, and other stakeholders to ensure that families receive the support and services that they need to achieve permanency. WMSG offers parenting groups and are partnership parenting with our foster parents to provide education, support, and resources to promote positive parenting practices.
